The Builders Exchange of Tennessee (BXTN) is a member-driven trade association that has supported the commercial construction industry across Tennessee since 1947. BXTN connects contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals by providing access to project opportunities, plan room services, and business development resources. Beyond its core services, BXTN is committed to strengthening the construction industry through advocacy, collaboration, and workforce development initiatives that support long-term growth and sustainability.

As part of that commitment, BXTN launched the Construction Trades Education Partnership (CTEP) to address the growing need for a skilled and prepared workforce. CTEP serves as the organization’s workforce development arm, focused on building strong connections between high school construction programs and the commercial construction industry. Through this initiative, BXTN works directly with students, educators, and industry partners to promote career pathways and create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

CTEP is built on the belief that the future of the construction industry depends on early exposure, strong partnerships, and continued investment in education. By engaging students through classroom outreach, career events, industry involvement, and workforce programs, CTEP helps bridge the gap between education and employment. The program not only raises awareness of the wide range of opportunities within construction, but also equips students with the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to successfully enter the workforce.
